Use and Install Apps

Apps on Anything App run in any modern web browser. There is nothing to download to get started, and the apps you rely on can be installed to your phone for quick access.

Opening an app

Open an app by following a shared link or selecting it from Explore. The app loads in your browser and is ready to use right away, with no build step and no setup.

Whether you can open a given app depends on its visibility. Public apps can be opened by anyone, unlisted apps require the direct link, and private apps are limited to their creator.

One account, every app

You sign in once with your Anything App account, and that identity works across every app on the platform. Creators never build their own login systems, so there are no separate passwords to create or remember for individual apps.

Your data stays yours

Each app gives you your own private, isolated data that syncs across your devices. When you enter information into an app, it is saved to your account, not the creator's.

  • The creator cannot see the data you enter while using their app.
  • Other users of the same app cannot see your data, and you cannot see theirs.
  • Your data persists between sessions, so an app remembers where you left off.

Install to your phone

When an app becomes part of your routine, install it to your phone. Every published app can be added to your home screen as a Progressive Web App, giving you an app-like experience and one-tap access without going through an app store.

To install, open the app in your phone's browser and use the "Add to Home Screen" option. Installed apps follow the same access and visibility rules as the browser version, and they keep your private, synced data.

Staying up to date

When a creator publishes a new version of an app, you automatically get the latest version the next time you open it. You do not need to reinstall or update anything manually.
