Publish an App
Publishing makes your app available outside the editor. Use the preview to test the experience, then review app details, choose visibility, and publish the live version.
Before You Publish
Test your app in the preview pane first. The preview shows how the app will behave after publishing, so it is the best place to check navigation, AI features, forms, saved data, and empty states.
Before you publish, prepare:
- An app icon, usually an emoji that represents the app.
- A clear title that helps users understand what the app does.
- A short description for the app listing or shared page.
- A visibility choice: public, unlisted, or private.
Publishing Flow
When the app is ready, click Review and publish in the editor. The publish dialog lets you review the app details and choose who can access it.
Publishing usually takes a few seconds. If you are updating an existing app and the data structure changed, publishing can take longer while the platform prepares a migration. Stay on the page until publishing finishes.
After Publishing
After publishing completes, you get a shareable app link. Depending on the visibility setting, you can keep the app private, share it directly, or make it eligible for public discovery.
Every published app can also be installed as a progressive web app on phones, tablets, and desktops for faster access.
Useful next steps:
- Review visibility settings.
- Learn how sharing and installing apps works.
- Understand updates and data migrations.
Common Issues
If publishing fails, check the error shown in the publish flow. Failures are usually caused by app code issues or a data migration that could not complete.
If your live app does not show the latest changes, make sure you published the newest version. The preview can include unpublished work, but the live app updates only after publishing completes.
