AI Credits
AI credits are used when you interact with AI features in the editor or inside apps. Different AI operations use different amounts of credits.
What Credits Are
AI credits measure platform AI usage. They are consumed by operations such as editor chat, app chat, text generation, web search, image generation, video generation, speech generation, and web content extraction.
Your apps continue to work when credits run low, but AI-powered features may be unavailable until you receive more credits, buy a credit pack, or upgrade your plan.
Where Credits Are Used
Credits are used in two main places:
- The editor: creating apps, modifying features, fixing bugs, and using AI to help build.
- Published or installed apps: using AI features that the app provides, such as chat, generation, analysis, search, or media creation.
Heavier operations usually cost more. For example, advanced models, image generation, video generation, and web search can use more credits than simple text requests.
Shared Apps
Each user consumes their own AI credits. If someone else uses an app you published, their AI interactions use their credits, not yours. If you use another creator's app, your AI interactions use your credits.
When you use AI features in another creator's app, the platform may add a creator premium on top of the base AI cost. That premium rewards the creator who built the app experience. Learn more in Creator Rewards.
Managing Usage
Use account settings to view your current credit balance, subscription tier, and usage history. Your usage history shows which operation types are consuming credits.
To reduce usage, choose lighter AI features when they are enough, avoid repeated unnecessary AI calls, and design apps to reuse results where appropriate.
