Usage Rewards

Published apps earn usage rewards when other users interact with AI features in them. Reward credits accumulate automatically in a separate reward balance.

How Rewards Work

When a signed-in user uses AI in your published app, they pay the base AI operation cost from their own credits. A creator premium is added on top and passed to you as a usage reward for building the app experience.

This applies to AI features such as chat, text generation, analysis, image generation, and similar AI-powered interactions.

When Rewards Apply

Usage rewards apply when signed-in users use AI in your public or unlisted apps. They apply to all published apps.

Rewards do not apply when you use your own app. Self-usage is excluded so you are not charged a creator premium on your own credits.

Guest users (people using an app without signing in) do not generate usage rewards. They pay the base AI cost only, and no creator premium is added or passed through. This keeps reward accounting tied to real accounts and avoids anonymous usage contributing to rewards.

Reward Balance

Usage rewards accumulate in a separate reward balance for tracking and auditing. Users can use that balance in two ways:

• Transfer reward credits to their AI credit balance for platform usage.
• Withdraw eligible reward credits to a connected bank account through Stripe Connect.

Free users can see rewards accumulate and unlock transfer or withdrawal options by upgrading.

Getting Started

To start earning:

1. Build an app.
2. Publish it as public or unlisted.
3. Share it with users.
4. Earn usage rewards automatically when users use AI features in the app.
