Selling Paid Apps
Paid apps let you charge a one-time price for access while still earning creator rewards from AI usage inside the app.
How Paid Apps Work
Paid apps add an upfront purchase to your published app. Buyers pay once and receive permanent access to the app and future updates.
Paid apps can still earn creator rewards when users interact with AI features inside them. The app sale and ongoing AI usage rewards are separate earning paths.
Earnings from Sales
When someone buys your paid app, payment processing fees are deducted and the remaining sale proceeds are converted into credits in your creator reward balance. The legacy marketplace docs describe platform commission as 0%, with Stripe payment processing fees still applying.
Your reward balance is separate from your regular AI credit balance. Pro and Ultra users can transfer rewards to credits or withdraw eligible balances through Stripe Connect.
Buyer Access
Buyers get permanent access to the app in their library. They also receive future updates you publish at no additional cost.
Each buyer gets their own private database. You cannot see buyer data, and buyers cannot see your creator data.
Pricing and Payments
Paid app prices are in USD and must stay within the platform's supported pricing range. Payments are processed through Stripe.
If you archive an app or stop selling it, existing buyers keep access. You can also change the app price later; price changes affect new buyers only.
To withdraw earnings or sell paid apps, set up Stripe Connect from account settings.
