Referral Credits
Every public or unlisted app you publish can act as a referral path when new users discover the platform through your app.
How Referrals Work
No setup is required. When someone visits one of your published apps, signs up, and verifies their email, referral credits can be awarded automatically.
The flow is:
- A new user opens one of your public or unlisted apps.
- They create an account from that app experience.
- They verify their email.
- Bonus credits are applied when the referral is eligible.
Who Earns Credits
Both sides can benefit:
- The creator earns bonus credits for bringing a new user to the platform.
- The new user receives bonus credits on top of the standard email verification bonus.
Referral bonuses are subject to platform limits. The legacy docs describe a maximum total bonus for referrers, but the exact values come from platform configuration and may change.
Eligibility
Referral credits are intended for new users who sign up through one of your apps and complete email verification. Existing users, incomplete signups, or activity that does not originate from your app may not qualify.
Public and unlisted apps can participate. Private apps are not useful referral paths because other users cannot access them.
Best Practices
Share apps that are useful on their own. A clear title, description, and first-run experience helps new users understand why they should sign up.
Referral credits are separate from creator rewards and paid app sales. See Creator Rewards for AI usage rewards.
